Off white color color to match older Parkers

Thanks for the input everyone! Pictures of your 110 in the bow would be really helpful! I currently have an old hand me down Igloo 94. It’s a good size but it has a hole in the bottom, so it needs to be replaced. Plus, the bright white color bugs me in an off white boat. If I’m going to add tie...

Southern Cross 25 vs parker 25 SE

I can't speak to the 25, but a friend has a Southern Cross 23. The S.C. 23 is similar in size, weight, and ride to my Dad's 21SE Parker. I'd take the 23SE parker over the S.C. 23 any day. My Friend's S.C. 23 just got delivered this year after a long wait. I think S.C. are still fairly low...

Off white color color to match older Parkers

Doesn't anyone make a 'seafoam', 'fish white', or generic 'off white' color cooler??

Off white color color to match older Parkers

I want to get a large cooler to mount in the open bow of my 1800, sort of like a coffin box. My 1800 is a 1998 and is the older off white gelcoat color. The Starboard trim and hatches in my boat are the "fish white" color and I'd say that the gelcoat matches the "seafoam" starboard color...

Trolling motor batteries and bank charger hookup question

I guess that's my answer then, I guess the current is just too strong here to troll on my electric motor. According to the power level / speed/ amp charts I'm seeing online for various trolling motors, it doesn't look like upgrading to a 36v motor would really help me much if I cant run it flat...

    Risk from these cracks

That's a fairly common crack on those boxes. I've ground the area down and was able to confirm that my cracks were only in the gelcoat. I ground the area out, sanded it with 100 grit, cleaned it well, and applied new gelcoat. I've repaired those spots on my boxes several times, and they...

Trolling motor batteries and bank charger hookup question

They're group 31 batteries. I had the batteries load tested this past March before I splashed the boat for the season. The batteries are in like new condition. A 36v motor uses ~25% fewer amps/hr than a 24v motor. I can spot lock all day long on a single charge no problem. My serious...

Trolling motor batteries and bank charger hookup question

I'll check out the Power Pole charger, thanks. In my 4 trolling motor battery schematic, I have 2 sets of 2 batteries hooked in parallel, to double the amps, then those two banks of 2 batteries each are connected in series to get 24v. I'm confident that this setup will give me 24v at double my...

Trolling motor batteries and bank charger hookup question

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, moving up to a 36v trolling motor isn't in the budget. My 24v motor draws about 25 amps/hour running at ~3 mph. Based on the limited data I've seen on the 36v model, it'll probably draw 18-20 amps at that same speed, so that would save ~20% off of the amp...

Trolling motor batteries and bank charger hookup question

I can run Spot Lock under normal conditions for 6+ hrs no problem. Basically, the batteries last all day on Spot Lock. I'm talking about tolling ~3 mph, which uses WAY more juice than Spot Lock, especially if I'm doing long up-current trolls. I can usually get ~3 hrs of ~3 mph trolling, but...

Trolling motor batteries and bank charger hookup question

I currently have 3 batteries in my 1800, one battery that does both outboard cranking and house electronics, and two batteries wired in series to power my 24v trolling motor. I have a 3 bank charger and everything is currently wired like this. Note that the 3 bank charger is hard wired to the...

Parker 1801 “sliding doors” on console

I have the same sliding doors on my 1998 1800. I don't know where you can buy the doors, but they look just like tinted pieces of plexiglass. You'll have to remove the frame to get the sliders in or out. I'm sure you could order a piece of 3/16'' tinted plexiglass and cut out the shape to...

    1995 Parker 1800 Bow Cushion

I don't think any 1800 models have the raised front deck that takes a cushion. I think all 1800s have the completely open bow. I think the raised front deck with cushion started when they switched over to the 1801 model. I think the changeover happened somewhere around model year 2000.

    2008 1801 Cover

"T-top Covers" (that's the company name) boat covers are about the nicest "off the shelf" boat covers that I've ever seen. They have patters for specific boats, and even cater to options like a t-top, bow rails, engine types, etc. My Dad has one for his 21se and I have one for my 1800, and...

    Waterproofing Console in 1801 CC

If you have water inside the console, you have a problem. The console is screwed down to the deck, so the first place I'd check is around the holes in the console floor that the screws go through. The Parker factory seals the consoles down with 5200 (or some similar product) but its possible...

    New Power Head Yamaha F250XCA

Bummer. Sorry to hear that. Is it too far gone to bore or sleeve the bad cylinders? Since it's a v6, I'm assuming the damage is limited to one bank?

    New Power Head Yamaha F250XCA

I don't have any info on powerhead availability, but a blown head gasket doesn't necessarily mean you need a new powerhead. Why not just replace the head gasket? Is there other obvious damage? If not, I'd just replace the gasket and run it. At only 700 hrs, it should have plenty of life left...

    Adding t-top ?

Attached is a diagram from Parker for the stringer and tank layout on an 1800. The fuel tank is skinnier than the console, so you won't hit the tank by mounting a t-top to the floor beside the console. That being said, many decks have gotten soft from water intrusion around deck holes for...

Bow to waterline measurement on 1800/1801?

On my 1998 1800, it's 34'' from the top of the bow to the waterline. I have a Motorguide iX5 60'' shaft mounted on my bow, and I usually run it with the shaft as deep as I can get it. In 1-2 ft seas, the trolling motor prop will break the surface of the water. It's fine if its 1ft seas or...
