My 1994 Parker 18 has sliding “plastic” doors at the helm to access a small shelf. I keep my VHF radio down there and my wallet, etc.

One of the sliders has cracked and I was wondering if anyone has had to replace these before? I hate to pull out the whole thing and replace the entire access panel from Boat Outfitters (several hundred bucks) for what seems like a relatively cheap piece of plastic.

I have the same sliding doors on my 1998 1800. I don't know where you can buy the doors, but they look just like tinted pieces of plexiglass. You'll have to remove the frame to get the sliders in or out. I'm sure you could order a piece of 3/16'' tinted plexiglass and cut out the shape to fit, using one of the old doors as a template. Plexi cuts fairly easily with basic tools, so I'm sure you could DIY it.

Thanks!! I will give it a try. I’ll keep you all posted if the DIY route works successfully.
