    23SE Questions

I have a 2001 23 SE with a 200-hp-HPDI engine. I am using the standard prop that came with the motor. I get about 3 mpg averaged over all speeds, but cannot tell you the burn rate at different rpms. The top speed I have ever gotten is around 42 mph. In seven years of running the boat, I...

    23SE

I have had a 23 SE for the past 7 seasons. It has taken care of me nicely. The boat will take far more punishment than my body will. I particularly like the single level floor with an incredible amount of square footage for a 23' boat. With my 200-hp HPDI engine, I average 3 mpg over the...

Any Tips on Securing Boat to Lift During Storms?

I have kept my Parker on a lift for the past 7 seasons. On several occasions when there has been a threat of storms and exceptionally high tides, I have take a long, heavy rope, tied one end to a rear cleat, and run the rope under the I-beam of the lift frame. I tighten off that corner then...

SOLD -- Who wants a sweet Parker at an even sweeter price?

Apparently I chose a really bad time to sell my boat this summer. Although I have lowered the price twice before, I have not had any offers. I am seriously thinking of handing it over to a broker in Sept, since my work travel and family commitments will not allow me to use the boat after Labor...

Looking for canvas for my 23se

About 2003, I had custom covers made for my console and leaning post. ALMO Products in Millersville, MD came to my boat on a lift, made the measurements, and a few weeks later installed the finished covers. I don't remember the exact price (my recollection is $500-600), but the covers have...

Or hold the raft up in Spa Creek -- maybe just above the Eastport Bridge.

    Excellent Annapolis Rendezvous!

We did have one "Parker wannabee" at the rendezvous this year. Maybe Jim needs to put some beige gel coat on that aluminum hull to fit in better next time  . Although the Black Lab's motor was a darker color than the Yammies, it was not your beloved Mercury -- it was a Suzuki. What was...

    Excellent Annapolis Rendezvous!

Capt Kevin outdid himself with the weather this year. It was a delightful day. We had about 12 Parkers and one Black Lab aluminum boat in the raft up. I was pleased to see at least 4 center consoles this year. We had a lot of fun checking out gadgets and customizations on each others...

My 2001 23 SE has a 110-gal tank -- the same as WFLGator showed.

Announcing! The 3rd Annual CP Chesapeake Rendezvous

I live in Annapolis and plan to attend the rendezvous on Sat. If any out-of-towners want a ride to the raft-up spot preceded by some fishing that morning from my 23 SE, please let me know. I may be able to provide some overnight accommodations at my home. John Veil (w) 202-488-2450 (h)...

    23se cockpit

The pre-2008 center console does not have room for a porta-potty. The new version of the console may have enough room. Here is one other trick to consider. I have a large sunbrella cover for the console. If a family member needed to use a porta-potty, they could place the porta-potty on the...

2000 Parker DV 21' CC Your Thoughts?

I have been very happy with my 2001 200-hp HPDI motor. It is dependable, pretty quiet, and fuel efficient. It starts easily every time, even after sitting for several weeks.

    Redfish - Virginia style

I have been trying to catch a redfish for several years. I have made multiple charter trips to LA, TX, and FL, but always came up empty. Yesterday, I did some kayak fishing in Virginia Beach, VA. My drought ended with 7 nice redfish from 19" to 27". I fought another one that was even...

Dimensions of 2320 and 2520 on a trailer

Some trailers can be fitted with a removable or pivoting tongue for storage purposes. I have seen it for smaller boat trailers. I don't know if it is practical or safe for a large trailer and a heavy boat. I looked into that years ago when I had a 17' boat and the trailer extended about 6"...

Kevin - Can you arrange for one of these to show up at the Annapolis Parker Rendezvous? That would be a blast.

2001 23 SE - price reduced to under $20K for quick sale

JW - I am not opposed in concept to a trade, but my next boat must be considerably lighter than a 1801. I cannot keep a boat and trailer anywhere in view in my yard because of community covenants. I plan to get a light, small boat that I can roll under my raised deck in the back of the house...

I just reduced the asking price to under $20K. Someone can get a great boat at a wonderful price.

    True Parker Prices

I have been trying to sell my 2001 23 SE with a 200-hp HPDI engine since Memorial Day. http://www.classicparker.com/phpBB2/vie ... 1749#31749 Initially I asked $28K. After no inquiries for 3 weeks, I lowered the price to $24K. I have had several preliminary inquiries on the boat, but no...

Anybody In Southern MD Know A Good Canvas Shop?

I had ALMO Products in Millersville make a custom console cover and leaning post cover for me several years ago. I have been happy with the covers. Their shop is not located in southern MD, but is a few miles south of BWI airport with quick access off of Rt 97.
