Dom,
So far so good. After a full season, still rock solid in the bilge. Still performing well, even up to WOT with no breakaway. :D I love it when stuff works exactly the way manufacturers claim it will.
Before I stumbled across the 946C on closeout I was headed for an SI unit and did...
Brian!
Welcome to the ParkerHood. You and the Admiral couldn't have landed in a beter place to satisfy your thirst for knowledge about Parker boats!. Where else could you find such a complete collection of Parkers-in-Motion? :D :D
Browse the different models, power combinations, compare...
JC,,
Go for it. Don't be put off by the name. I installed a Humminbird 3D unit last year and love it! It worked flawlessly, and it delivered -exactly- the images they said it would! It took a pounding all season and never skipped a beat.
Here's a link to my project Humminbird 946C 3-D...
Nice work guys, you certainly nailed the manufacturer. On their website I saw a reference to a Kauai Fire Dept Boat they recently delivered. So I figured I could poke around and find it.. 8) 8)
Wow, what a beauty. One of the Engine 3 Firefighters was kind enough to open the firehouse...
Nice! 8) 8)
She looks very clean and certainly ready to go!
Keep us posted on your progress with adding all your "own gear".

Of course they do!
I should've known that!
See what happens when a PH guy doesn't pay close enough attention to all the CC threads!
Let that be a lesson to me! 8)
I Agree!
Welcome to ClassicParker Mark. Kevin's right on the money,,, Parkers love to go diving! It's one of their favorite watersports. 8) 8)
Good luck with your new Parker...post pictures,,,,lots of pictures.....

Nice Work!
Given their location, I would imagine these guys see a few Parkers. Did they have all the measurements and jigs already in "stock" or did you work out some special custom bracing and tubing height design?
Just noticed in the last pic,,, your rig is parked under the "Sale"...
Here is one of my favorite Parker wannabe boats on Kauai. I have been watching this particular craft for the last several years.
I can never find anyone around to inquire as to the specifics of the powerplant (inboard). But I like the look. Anyone recognize the hull?
Judging from the...
Keith,
Wow, that ladder is an impressive apparatus... in the photo, is it in the "stored" position? Is is hinged somehow to the bracket? Is there a "lock" that somehow holds it in place in the "down" position?
John
Brian,
Thanks for sharing these photos of all your hard work and ideas. You are adding to the ClassicParker KnowledgeBase of rigging tips and customization ideas. 8) 8)
You're a lucky guy that the Admiral has let you trick out her boat,, and no side curtains or doilies in the cabin...
Dale,
So very sorry to hear of his passing. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but what strikes me most about him is how you smiled every time you spoke about him.
It was obvious that he had spread his love of life to you along with his love of boats. What more could any of us ask of...
Yeah, I figured as much! :D
Now I'm jealous of all you bracket-guys
Although that would be a way-serious mod to make (adding a bracket) just to make it easier to dive. I think Dale just put a teak swim platform on Miss Teak, maybe I'll review his project. 8) 8)
Parkers are...
Great Question!
Parkers make EXCELLENT diving platforms, and it's the primary reason I own one. Since you are an experiend Parker owner you already know about the huge cockpit, and stability of the low deadrise design. Because the freeboard is moderate, entry and exit is a lot easier than on...

That is the ability...

I'm with Brad. What a monster. When they get to a certain size, they should get a "get out of jail free" card. 8)
Anyone know how old a 70-pounder might be?
