Not many "radio boxs" in cabins. No more speaker things for me done that ,everything that you add on adds time in maintenance.keep it simple

One thing for me when it comes to mounting is the VHF has to be up high. that way you dont have to look down to set the CH or Vol and the speaker is head high so you dont have to crank it way up to hear it

I tow me 2520 XL with a F250 V8 Gas, No problems. I keep the boat in the water so I dont tow it much but the few trips that I do make are not bad with the gas. If I had plans on lots of towing i would go with the diesel for MPG

If you use a small amount of anti-seize when you put back together that will help aswell.

Check to see that it was taken care of and that it runs good.you can also drain the lower unit oil for about 15 bucks this will sometimes tell if the motor was service the way the owner claims.If it checks out good buy it and put 5000 hours on it.
