Found Her and bought Her-2005-2520xl, 250Yamaha 4 stroke. looks like new, minimum time and no electronics. I get to start fresh! I've been out of the market for 8 years. By far the most important piece is the fish finder, it will go to Alaska and fish in plankton rich water so power is important. Next is the GPS, VHF, and maybe a radar (it does not see logs, nor rocks), last year it would have gotten me only 8 more hours of fishing out of 30 days, it could be considered emergency equipment. An autopilot, weather info, entertainment, etc., only if already in the equipment or of little cost. After many hours of reading Classic Parker, which I find of great value, I have come to the conclusion that whatever I buy will be dated as I go out the door and might not have tech support or warranties as several companies might be out of business shortly. I would like to look through the hull, no cutting, or transom mount, use the sounder to 20 kts if possible, flush mount the screen and would like it to be 8 to 10 inches in size. I would like to put a smaller screen on the transom for use when on the kicker. User friendly is important-I am very slow but not all together stupid as my eigth boat is a Parker. I would consider more then one instrument, sounder/GPS if it did not run up cost too much. This is a mouth full but a chance to put together the right stuff. One other thing, within reason, I have found my fathers advice of fifty years ago to be correct. Price is soon forgotten but quality is long remembered. John
