A few questions on the differences on the 1800 and 1801...

What year were the changes to the hull made? Was the weight distribution altered for the weight of 4 strokes?

Do the scuppers of the 1801 w/ F115 remain above the waterline at rest?

Has anyone re-powered an 1800 with F115 or other "heavy" engine? Any problem with scuppers below the waterline/ self-draining?

Thanks.

In the 2008 1801 I owned last year, when 2 big guys(my brother and I) fished in the back the scuppers took in water leaving wet feet. Also with the 115 4stroke on the back if one of us sat in the transom seats it also took a while to come up on plane..

Anyone?

I am sure someone has repowered an 1800 with a newer four stroke? Any problems with weight?

Anyone know what model year the 1801 was introduced?

Thanks again.

I have a '94 1800 repowered with a 2006 F115. Some water does come in the scupper holes but never enough to spill out of the small trough in front of the holes. Even with two people seated on the transom seats it isn't an issue.

I have a 1987 which came with a 150 Merc and the scuppers were always out of the water.
Repowered last year with a 90 Johnson and the boat sits just about level now. I don't know what the weight of the Merc was in comparison to the new 115 Yammies but it's probably close.
