Like many older two strokes i have worked on the bracket that holds the tanks were basically disintegrated. I’ll find some used ones.

I found a plastic battery box that the oil tank fit in, then cut it down as needed to make my own "bracket".

Still getting stuff done slowly but surely, brought her to my home so i could Pick away and not have to drive back up to work. Got new rigging tubes installed to dress these old motors up a bit. Was waiting on the grommets for the motors but they finally came in.

Had a kick plate built for a little more storage against the gunnels. New fuel lines and water separator housing as well. Not a fan of the racor style i like The spin off and replace style. Reinstalled oil tanks with new pumps and filters also.

AND got my life ring back, my wife’s name is Marisa but everyone calls her Ris. Hence the name. Aiming for a splash the weekend after Memorial Day

What’s up guys long time. Still loving the Parker. But late in the season last year one motor finally bit the dust. Water intrusion in every cylinder turned out to be a hole in the exhaust cavity. Can’t be mad tho, 30 years old and 1300 hours is a good run. Just picked up two 150 Hpdi Yamahas with less the. 500hrs on them.

The funny part is i found Then for sale like 30 minutes away from where i bought The boat in Virginia. Still working on rigging them. The tach trim and oil harnesses are slightly different from the 1991 boat side harness currently on the boat. Also had to upgrade the steering cylinder and tie bar. The boats running great with these new motors. Turn key and go. Still love the 2 strokes. They sip fuel and get me on plane better then my old motors. I’m going to go up a hole on the mount tho. Getting a good bit of spray. IMG_2361.jpeg

Well guys the boats been running great with the new HPDIs. Hole shot is nice and the oil burn is great compared to the old motors. I’m seeing speeds in the low 40s with just me onboard. One things I’m particularly excited about is this winter project on the boat. I finally found a bow pulpit! Always wanted one. Took this long to find an original Parker pulpit. It needs some work but it was only 200$. I do However need some help finding the bow rail extension that goes around the pulpit and extends the bow rail. Anyone have any leads? I’ll be checking local adds online.

Great Lakes skipper has the extension but it appears my bow rails are smaller then the style they offer. I believe mines 1 inch.

Took the boat for its longest run this year with a dinner party in Rock Hall Md. about 30 miles round trip. Came back across the bay in the dark had me wishing I had radar! Still looking for the bow rail extension in 1 inch if anyone has any leads! Seasons comming to an end….IMG_2932.jpeg
