2300 - Front seating middle piece question

Question. the removable middle seat. I've only had it on the boat one time as it bounces all over the place. Other than having the cushions on top sort of hold it in place, (which I don't have) how is this middle section of front seating held in place?

I'd think even with cushions it would bounce and slam in rough conditions.

I screwed a half eye fixture into the bottom of the center piece toward the back end. Then a couple of matching fixtures onto the deck neat where the forward seating walls are. Then made a custom length shock cord with j-hooks to attach the center to the deck fixtures. Sort of an upside down "V" shape.
