Hi all. Sold my Dusky. Was going to just fish on party boats. But now parker came out with the 2420. Can't find one in Florida. May try to do a factory tour. Has anyone checked out this boat. It has me thinking about what options I would get. I know there are many. Does anyone have any suggestions any why. Any and all ideas appreciated. Pat

A/C , Rocket launcher on Top , Spreader cockpit lights are in the Option page.... I would Not consider them options. Your in Fl. Same as me.

Most are custom built by a tower shop. In fact I'm SURE Parker does not build them...They are farmed out to a tower shop then sold thru Parker.

The reason parker did away with the pulpit is because they put the anchor winch in the anchor locker with a flatter anchor winch.
Great, so now the windlass can corrode even faster being in a locker...... the pilothouses dont look right without the pulpit and matching bow rail......correct craft changed it because it's deff cheaper to manufacture them without it. Looks more generic now..... not the "change" we want. Hope they are reading this when they redo the larger pilothouse models.

I agree, the 2420 is just an odd-looking boat. It looks like the result of a Parker getting too drunk and leaving the bar with a C-Dory- the rest is history!

I’ve been aboard one at a fishing show.

My impression:
If the new Parker Boats owners wanted to create a design which would take the Parker legacy to new heights, this may not b the answer.

With a strong following and so much potential to work with I would’ve thought they’d take the lead of present and past owners who have improved on the models that exist.

Im not saying it’s a bad design, and as a Parker owner I want to see them succeed. Also I haven’t done the homework to understand the price point attraction. My first impression; eems more like a compromise than an improvement.
