I am looking at a 2005 25 xld that has twin 150's and I was wondering if anyone has experience with this configuration. My fear is that it might be slightly under powered.

No freakin' way that is underpowered ... I know guys that love that hull using 250hp single motors!

I have a single 250hp 0x66 on my 2520DV and can tell you that it's enough power.

I do run with half a tank of fuel 95% of the time, but would gladly show anyone for free. :D :D

If I was to repower, and didn't have kids going to college in a year+, I would probably put a 300hp Yamaha 4 stroke on it.

I think the 150's would be fine.

My 2530 has twin 200's which are great and fun and all but the weight savings and fuel savings the 150's offer would make that a great power package. I don't have any real world experience with them though.

You won't be able to go 40knts but how often can you do that anyway.

There is a member on the West coast with a 2530 that has 150's you may want to PM him.

I ahve a 2008 2520 XLD with twin 150's. I am happy with them.
