Hey all,

I have a 2003 2520 SC with (I believe) 174 gal fuel tank. (Would have to confirm). I live in MA and a few years back was doing a lot on night Striper fishing. During the run out, in crappy conditions, I heard some noise like there was something sliding around in the fuel tank. I figured a baffle or something might have busted loose. Anyway, while having some service done I asked my mechanic if he could scope the tank and see what was going on. He did, and did find that a baffle had broke loose in the tank. It wasn't in a bay where it could impact the suction and stop fuel supply. I did find aluminum shavings in my spin on fuel filter but my mechanic said that it would be highly unlikely for anything to get through the 10 micron filter and the others. Needless to say, I'll be looking at replacing the tank at some point. Does anyone have any info or contact info at Parker where I might get some assistance regarding tank layout and specs for the replacement. Any and all comments appreciated. Thanks.
 
theres a label on the tank by the sending unit which will give you the tank details. These drawings might help.

You do not contact Parker for this....Contact the tank manfacture. Name on label of tank. Or you do what I'd do.....Find the edges of the tank coffin.....You use a measuring tape thru tha piehole......Do a small exploratory hole with a holesaw.

Once the exact permiter is esstablished You step back a Lil more....Thats where you draw the lines.....I use a holesaw at the corners first so that the corners have a radius...[It's stronger].......Then with the circular saw depth set make the long cuts on your lines.
Once tank is out....It goes to a welding shop I use that will build a new tank out of 3/16 5052 alum......the same size as the original.....But I have them do a couple of extras.....A billet slug of alum for the fuel sending mount.....and the tank has a extended vent to the other end of the tank. It vents from either end. Why? Have you ever had a boat that you had to fill slow due to buroing back on you? Nothing more of a PITA having to fill a 90 or 100+ gal tank slow....or any tank for that matter.
