300 HP Suzuki too much engine for a 2008 2300 DV CC?

Quick question for the gang. Is a 300 hp Suzuki four stroke too much for a 2008 23 DV CC ? I’m not worried about the insurance consideration, but more about performance and self bailing. The reason I ask is there is one that is for sale and I’m looking. The engine is on a bracket and my guess the boat is approximately 26’ long with the bracket and engine included. My first thought is that 300 would be perfect.

Engine weighs very close to what the 250 does. Not much more. I think the 300 would be perfect for the 23.

I think everyone is correct here. 300 should be ok and possibly ideal.

I have the 2300 DVCC with a suzuki 250. The 300 was not available when I repowered or i would definitely have gone that direction!

Thanks. I do agree with the weight of the hull a 300 is a good match. Now I am just worried about the fuel tanks. It’s always something!
