I've got a 2008 Parker 1801 and I'm looking to add a Fishmaster Pro Series T-Top. Is it safe to drill the mounting holes where required beside the helm? I'm unaware of the fuel tank placement or anything else there for that matter. Just need help before I order it and drill holes and ruin something.
Thanks

Don't you have removable deck plates to get to the tank hoses and sending unit? You should be able to check clearances through there. Light it up and take a video with your phone, or use a 30 dollar Amazon Endo camera.

Attached is a diagram from Parker for the stringer and tank layout on an 1800. The fuel tank is skinnier than the console, so you won't hit the tank by mounting a t-top to the floor beside the console.
That being said, many decks have gotten soft from water intrusion around deck holes for aftermarket t-tops. This is the reason I haven't installed a top on my 1800. I'd be curious to follow your install, please post your process and pics on the forum. Do you plan to add backing plates under the deck and if so, how are you gaining that access? I'm asking because I just can't figure out how to do it on my boat, but would love to learn.

I bought the Fishmaster Pro Series, but ended up returning it. I wouldn't call it junk but it also isn't as sturdy as a non-folding top. So I did a TON more searching the area and found a custom builder that isn't raping people right now. I'm visiting his shop in a few weeks and will update this with more details if I have the build done.
