Does anyone know where you can buy a guard for the bow so the anchor won't bang the bow of the boat when the windlass is pulling up the anchor. I have seen them they are made out of stainless steel or rubber. Thanks Ron

Not sure I understand the problem. My bow has a pulpit on it that keeps the anchor away from the hull. I didn't think you could put a windlass on the bow without a pulpit. You see it all the time on the steel boats, but I've not seen it on a fiberglass boat. Can you provide a pic of your bow?

Dave,

Could he be confusing a bow guard that helps prevent damage from a trailer guide ?? Or bow protectors that are used with anchor rollers (no windlass), but usually only on cruisers ?

I've missed reading and posting on ClassicParker. My 95 y/o Mum pased away recently, and I've had surgery for a detached retina, so I've been out of circulation for 2 months. It's good to be back...I love this site :D
