Thank you all. I didn't have time before the season to concentrate on getting the slam hatches installed but will get it done after the season is over. Let's hope for a successful season

I guess the owner before didn't like sealant

New second station
Had to fix pulpit

I just bought a 95 2530, It has a soft spot on the roof about 2'x2' where the previous owner added horns and didn't seal it up well. Can you describe the process of how you fixed your roof? Cut out the fiberglass top, then put new marine plywood in? Any resin?

Also I have a HDS 12 I want to flush mount into the helm, did you use fiberglass to build up the top area then paint?

I cut the top of the pilothouse so I could dig out balsa used a skill saw set very shallow and a router to dig out some of the depth until I got down to the inner fiberglass layer put marine grade plywood down for the void and screwed it down. The cracks and to level it a bit some bondo. It held the plywood down and I released the screws. Fiberglass over the plywood( mind you that I did lay down resin before I laid in the plywood, few days for resin to dry couple hours for bondo to set up and fiberglassed over) grind down the high spot smooth out with a sander and filled voids with resin and Cabosol mixed in for thickness. Gelcoat and nonskid after.

The hds was formed with foam and glassed over then sprayed gelcoat

So I wanted to write down what I used for this second station project because it was very helpful with the other posting in this site.

Second station products: Plus shipping
Parker second station mount $375
13.5 destroyer wheel with suicide knob. $99
Seastar rear mount helm 1.7 $434
Uflex hydraulic hoses 14'. $93
Teleflex second station/auto pilot kit. $90
Brp evinrude controls top mount. $318
$1409 total

My bulkhead mount came in today and I picked up a rear mount helm last month, going to try and rig everything up soon. Was 14' for the hoses plenty? How did you run everything through the bench seat from the bulkhead?

Yah 14' was good from what I remember. I drilled through the bench seat twice with a nice bending radius for the hydraulic hoses. Wasn't real concerned about space since I keep life jackets in there anyways.
