who is fishing and where?

I am undecided if i am going or not as I have an obligation that. I may either to an short early morning trip or a late afternoon trip and run just south of Poplar Island from SPSP. If I can get out of my obligation I may trailer to PLO but that is unlikely.

Forecasted weather is great, with light winds predicted.

That should bring out every yahoo from 4 states around, including the glitter boat crowd if the seas are flat.
Add in the blowboat races, and it should be a 3-ring circus out there.

I'm going to wait for the following weekend because I don't do well in zoos.

I'll be out Saturday and Sunday. Coming out of the Magothy and fishing between BB and Bloody Point. It will be a zoo but I'm just looking for a few knock downs. I will be out the following Wed too and hopefully a few late afternoons. Even though it will be crazy out there I'm still looking forward to it.

Ant...

Let me know if the planer board crowd starts shooting at each other. :)

Kev
you need to come up here to New England during the summer and fish the monomoy rips with us to see a Zoo. Or better yet Stellwagen Bank once the hard tails finally make their appearance.
There is always and opening on the FishPimp for you or any other CP member.
Jealous you boys are splashed and fishing already.

Being a little further south does have its advantages sometimes. :)

The weekend before Easter I traveled to the eastern shore of Virginia for a little early season flounder action. The wind blew 25 to 35 kts early on Sat, but we were still able to bring in a couple of keepers along with all the pesky shorts.

Here is Jimmy with a keeper caught later in the day when the wind started to drop...

Retirement for me is in about 14 months, so I might just take you up on that offer next year.

Kevin,
I'm sure there will be plenty of cursing on the radio.

I keep my planers on a short leash 75 feet but even at that distance it's gets a little hairy sometimes with all the traffic. There's always a few captains who want to pay chicken and guys who have long lines out that seem to be around 400'.

Hey Greg have you had a chance to run your boards in a little traffic, it's not a picnic.

Work has a charter planned on the 26th out of Solomons, I'll be kicking back and as you guys says drinking a few barely pops.

Anthony

I have pulled in some congestion before but nothing like opening day. If I fish it will be away from the crowds. (remember the fishfinder readings the last time I was out  ). My planer lines are 100' so I still have decent manuverability. When I pulled Skips 140' lines I had to be more careful of the inside board stalling. I may even run south of deale to get away from the crowds... Then again For giggles maybe I will make up 200'+ lines out of 1000lb test line and go out for some fun.

I am supposed to be on a charter next wed out of solomons myself. My coworkers have the infamous Never-E-Nuff booked both Monday and Wed.

Greg,
You know I have your DF in my mind.

Our charter is with Captain Chris Lopynski on "Game On". If you see his boat it looks like Noah Arc, it's huge and only a few years old.
