I just bought a 1994 2100 center console. The boat and engine are great but after running for most of the day recently my fuel gauge was not showing any use of fuel. Any quick fixes or ideas on what might be the problem or how tough of a fix it may be?

One thing it did do though was blink as if it were empty and the the bars on the gauge went from the bottom and moved up flashing multiple times. This was ought after I filled up also
 
Do I need to take the fuel tank out in order to replace the sensor?
