Good autopilot system for 2007 2820 XL w/ Yamaha 250s?

Hey everyone,
Looking for advice on adding an autopilot to my 2820. Any suggestions? I'm currently deployed and am not sure which type of steering system I have? I think this would determine what is compatable?

Any thoughts / suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would assume Seastar hydraulic steering.

Other than that I know a few other guys on the site have autopilot but not sure which one.

Hope that helps you a little. Did you search the archives? I know it has come up in the past.

Thanks for the post and thank you for your support.

I do know it is a sea star system just not sure how big the unit is, that seems to be a consideration that Garmin asks about on their site. Not sure if there is a difference b/w a 25ft Parker and a 28ft? Same Yam F250 engines?

I'm in Afghanistan's southern province, Kandahar. No boating here unfortunately.

S1000 is what I have and have never had a problem unless it was really overcast..
