I have the ResQFix by ACR and I remember looking at the Aquafix and it was cheaper because it did not have an onboard GPS. I did a search on Google that read Revere Fast Find and it came up with a second model. It is the Revere Fast Find MaxG406 W/ built in GPS and my question is how can the one you are looking at for $299/$270 ,member cost, be as good as the Max? If it's cheaper then to me that means it is not as good as the one for $529.00. I bought my ResQfix for less than that at Defender and it is the best that ACR makes in the PLB range. If I were going to buy one of them I would do a little more reading and find out why it is cheaper than their $529.00 model.

By the way, they do have an attachment point for a lanyard, and a floating neoprene case will be released in a month or so. This Group Buy ends March 24th.

How about a group buy for the neoprene case also?

Thanks, guys. I ordered one on 3/8 and was beginning to think that it was lost in the mail. I emailed Jim tonight to ask for an update. Perhaps they are backordered.
Good fishing!
They're not shipping any out until this week ... units were pending FCC clearance.

If anyone is interested.. you can now get a free Spot Messenger with the purchase of a year of service until March 27:

This isn't the same as the PLB listed above, and I have no experience with it, but some folks like the options it provides with its web-based realtime location reporting.

WOW, I see the price of EPIRBs coming down in the near future.

For those of you that took advantage of BOE's offer, how quickly did you hear from Jim???

I ordered one but have not yet heard from BOE about the discount????????
Anyone order through them for this group buy?

Did YOU email Jim your order number?
That is the way the deal is set-up, you make the order, get your order #, then email Jim and he applies the discount. Others around the US could be sending in orders, so the only way to get the discount is to ask for it.

I got a reply the same day :D !

Yep, followed the directions to a T and sent multiple e-mails to different addresses at BOE including Jim.

Got mine ordered today. Nice deal. Jim @ BOE had been great to do business with. I've bought all my electronics, windlass, rode and radar from BOE and will always be my first place I go to.

Give Jim a call tomorrow to make sure... or just to say Hi!

I heard from Jim yesterday around 5:30 or so. Everything went through.

The website says the PLB's will be available on the 30th of March.
