When I bought my 23 SE (one-year used) from the dealer, I wrote into the contract that they would install locking mechanism for the front seat lid and the door on the side of the console. When I came to get the boat, they handed my the Perko hardware and said they had decided not to install it because they could not find a non-obtrusive way to do it. After further consideration, I did not install the hardware either, and ended up bartering it to a Boat U.S. store for comparably-priced merchandise.
