Need Gelcoat Help ASAP

ready to apply gelcoat in bilge area, have Parker Interior gelcoat, hardener from WM. DO I NEED TO COVER WITH PLASTIC WRAP OR ADD WAX FOR IT TO CURE? Will be painting it on with brush, apprx 4" X 8 " area.

From posts it sounded like no wax etc needed, want to confirm this is the case.

Plan was to put on first coat, allow to harden (few hrs possibly), then 2nd coat.

Just mix the gel coat and harner and apply. Your last coat should have wax in it. Why not apply both coats back to back? Wait till the first one gets tacky then apply the second.
