hello everyone, this is my first time using this site. great site by the way.
i am in the process of getting a new f250 put on my 2520. i am curious to
know what size 4 blade prop to use. i have a 15 x 15 powertech now that i used on my ox 66. thanks.

well since you have it might as well start out trying it. You should be able to spin up to 6000 rpms at WOT. If you are over that go up a little. ken at propgods will send props to you and just return them and pay 35 bucks each time if you want. They are spinning 17s on the yamaha test with that boat though. But it depends on the load that you are running at.

I have recently replaced my stock black steel prop with a Mercury Rev 4, 14 5/8" X 17 Pitch. I bought it from Ken at Prop Gods. It has an Awesome holeshot, very fast plane time, and not enough O's in Smoooth. I have also found I dont need the tabs as much (better stern lift) and that it has great bite in reverse while slipping the boat at the marina and around other docks. (This is with full fuel, two passengers, and medium gear load). I used Kens performance numbers off his website and spoke to him about my boating conditions. I am in the Upper Potomac River and dont have the conditions to deal with that the guys going offshore do (head sea, following sea, and beam sea).
I will say to get info on the Powertech props as well, Dale H. seems to be very happy with his new prop. as with some of the others on the site.

Good Luck

thanks a bunch guys. what kind of performance numbers did you see catfish?

I found this while surfing the web. I hope Ken from Propgods does not mind me linking this. I thought that this would be extremely helpful to anyone with this hull, could say your alot of money and time.

The Motor was Definately too low. He could come up one, maybe even 2 holes. So his numbers should have been a little better.

I am seeing almost the same figures as the above thread for the Rev 4. I however am seeing a little more MPH. I am in a river with not strong tide issues and the only two times I have been out with the new prop the water was very smooth. I seem to be getting 10.85 to 11 GPH at 4200 and 25MPH (Full fuel, clean bottom, 2 passengers, and medium load) My figures say .44 GPM. Or the same as theirs 2.2MPG.
