The Parker 28 is a huge boat with lots of fishing room. If you are looking for a boat that will run 30knots, she is the not the boat for you. I made many trips offshore in an 06 28 with twin 250. In a following, quarter or beam sea she will run nice 22 to 25 knots. In a close head sea you will have to throttle back. There were days we had to chug along 18 to 20 knots. Remember this is not a center console DV...but rather a wide beam pilothouse. The boat will take anything you throw at it, and can handle more that your body will want to. I would suggest trying to get a ride or charter a 28 for the day. If you are planning 50/50 split inshore/offshore you will like the boat. However, if you are planning on running to the deep all the time and not willing to go when the weather allows you may be disappointed. If you have any other questions, just ask.
