today i went into my parker-shrinkwrapped for the winter and i found this brown fluid on the deck.after a investigation it sees there is a hairline crack in the area of the starboard side where the rod holders are located.
as i cleaned it away it would slowly seep out has anyone had this happen.
thanks

Yes, but not on my Parker. My 1983 25 Whitewater had a spot where I would get the brown fluid out of it.

What it is, is water stained with tannins from the plywood core. What I would say happened is somehow the core in that area got wet, froze and cracked the fiberglass. When the temp came up and the water melted it seeped out. I would look into it, could be a sign of a bigger problem. Post up some pics and I'm sure we could talk you through it.

What year is the boat?

That happen tp me when I have my tower folded down, it is coming from the corner of the cushion, took awhile to figure it out, so I put a bucket under to catch the brown gooey water.

Oh man i bet that made you guys nutz, cause i know it would make me nutz for sure!!At least you found the source of it!!!And gave everyone else a heads up!!!

Bryan nailed it . I had a problem with brown water oozing from the flat section in the bilge that the pump if mounted on. It turned out that the fiber glass over the front part of the plywood section had voids that allowed water to soak the plywood which in turn became brown and oozed through pin hole voids in the glass on the sides of the plywood.

You need to grind out that spot and dry out the wood and then reglass.
Hopefully the water didn't get to far. Good luck
