The big question how was the water clarity. It tends to clear up some just south of BPL. How did the water look around the Bay bridge too or TPL areas?
I have company for the weekend, otherwise I'd have been out there with you.
Spent some time in the basement range instead of fishing. Dialed in the scope of my neighbors new 10/22.
So Dale...we have a guy with a black motor and an off-brand boat, who teaches his kid to smoke ladies cigars. What is this site coming to? Don't you have any standards?
you like the pretzel cigars to celebrate Dave!
BTW, that black motor pushed us over 29mph at 4180rpms burning 10.3gph into the breeze from BPL to Deep Creek on the Magothy 8) (oh and only burned 0.3-0.5gph while trolling)
I am guy who likes lighter tackle as much as the next guy (eeling the cape may rips and chunking bunker) but these fish are fun trolling 30lb class med action rigs. I dont mess with planer boards (I am too lazy) but have been trolling 8 lines with 2 way way back and have had some nice action. I am hoping to get out Thursday. You can sell boards Dave but dont sell the parachutes!
Shake down 3 was slow today before the winds picled up. Landed a 36" 38" and a fat 40" off of BPL again. We lost another Water quality still stinks. I am thinking of trip out of chesapeake beach or solomons for more consistant action next week.
Flats arent for me. I value my lower unit too much. I am not familiar with the area at all as I have never been there. Maybe we can get a couple of guys and hire Capt Deering to take us up there :!:
