I am holding off on inverter install for several reasons. When first installed , seriously under wire size, no switch or fused. Unit is a modified sine wave and should be pure sine, and not ignition protected which limits install location. The planned wire run would be 11 feet.
When the inverter and the battery are set up within three feet of each other, use a minimum of #4 gauge wire to make the connections. Within four to six feet, use a minimum of #2 gauge wire . At distances between six feet to ten feet, use #0 gauge wire. I would need #00 at the min and #000 would be better and used.
Wow that is some heavy duty wire.
I think a Honda 2000 genset would be better deal than an inverter.
