Changed the fuel pump - problem seems solved. Bought at Boat.net -- one time delivery and better price ($603) than others.

I did make sure to only order the pump by itself to keep the order simple as possible.

However, geting the bolt of the old pump still not figured out. There is basically a round - not metric and not US head on the one bolt that holds it all together. One needs to slide a standard wrench behind this round head bolt to get access to a normal nut. It is a puzzler.

So have the pump removed and replaced and now can't secure it back on the engine (cant get the old bolt from old pump.)

Removing and installing the fuel pump is very easy. The pump is held by only one bolt, which have found does not even need to be removed. Merely pull the pump away from the engine and the round headed bolt will slip right thru the rubber collar. Reinstalling, just push the pump over the bolt. So easy when you have the answer. Off course the real trick to this job is to know if you need the pump.

Thanks all who helped.
