Trailer Brakes

I've been putting this off....checking the brakes up close that is.

I've taken one wheel off and taken the caliper off. It is a mess and the way I see it the only thing to do is replace all of them. I can't see any point in trying to rebuild them. I'm thinking about replacing them with Kodiaks.

I'll post some pictures later.

If you have brakes you haven't inspected carefully and have been putting it off.... do it now before the fun fishing season starts.

I have a Road King trailer and I've gotten 3 years out of the calipers.

Embarrassing to say it.. and show it… but this is what the brake caliper and pad look like upon removal….. yuk!

Yea...I put that one out there. It is a two part series on how to convert from drum to disk.

efish...those calipers look like you haven't attended to them for years.

I have the Kodiak disk and love them. After two years, they still look like new. No need for the SS, the Cadmium plated are plenty sufficient.

All I ever did for the 3 years I've had the boat is hose them down..... looks like it wasn't enough
