Ride will be dependent on the deadrise and chine.
If a true traditional design modified for OB power I'd be leery of putting TOO MUCH horsepower on them, as remember downeast hulls are "sea hulls" and not necessarily "go fast" hulls. A true DE hull of square chine, like the Albin TE 28s, is/was rated the #1 Rated Best Riding Hull ever as tested by Powerboat Reports. It was only a 20-knot hull, but did so and tracked well even in both significant head and following seas!
A round chine hull would most likely be similar to the old Seaway 26 hull, which I bet might be the source for the molds for this ... as they're (mold) still out there somewhere. Round-chined hulls tend to roll a bit and lean to a following sea, but take the head sea better.
If I wasn't up for yet another project ... I'd hunt you or that hull down and would BUY IT pronto!
