What did you pay for your Parker boat and when?

Always had my eye on a Parker Sport Cabin for diving, my 2 previous CC's were functional but it's cold diving in SoCal...
In 2020 it was slim pikins' on the west coast. Found a 2003 2120 through a broker and flew out to Maryland. Only did that because I went through a broker so knew I wasn't chasing a CL sham
Little worried about it being a 2 stroke (200HP HPDI Yamaha), but with 419 hours, compression checked out and nice sea trial in choppy Chesapeake conditions, pulled the trigger and had it shipped on a flatbed out here to San Diego knowing you never know about the trailer.
No bait tank (west coast thing) was a plus for scuba with more deck space
Good condition, just needed TLC (and always will)
2120 is easy to park and tow and good fit for up to 4 divers so had to expand my search zone

$24K -Boat/2 axle trailer
$4K -Shipping on flatbed- not towed
$3.4K -Gov. Newsom
$2K -Trailer rebuild (lights, bearing, brakes, etc)

Total cost of freedom to do what you want, where you want, when you want.....doesn't matter, I got a Parker!

That's a great deal. I was doing the same looking for long time. But had cancer so was in bad shape for 10 out of 12 yrs. We finally got settled out. I'm feeling good. So started looking. Couldn't find anything. And what I was seeing for used. Crazy. But because of my health I knew the pilot house was the only way as I can't bake in the sun. Found one in florida. Flew down did sea trial. Checked out. Bought it. Perfect boat for what we want. Going back down March 10th to drag her up to NJ. Your right, I don't have a clue what the future looks like. I'm living and making memories. Seen how fast this life could be over. It's my turn to enjoy it and make sure the family is doing the same. No reset button on life.

Nice boat, have you checked/replaced those pry out inspection ports in your deck for water tightness?? On a 20 year old boat, those ports if original are almost guaranteed to be leaking and getting a lot of saltwater onto and under things you don’t want soaking in saltwater….

$5000- 7 years ago. 1988 21' its been re powered, re wired, custom leaning post behind helm, put the original swing back cooler seat up front for additional storage, min Kota ulterra up front with triple bank charger. All work done be me. Such an awesome little boat!

1989 Parker 2520 MV, 2021 Suzuki 300 (235hrs) 5 1/2 yrs of warranty left, all new Garmin suite, 12" display, 9" display, Radar. $35k added a 2022 Loadmaster Aluminum trailer for $7k I'm all in at $42k. Boat is in bristol condition, gel coat shines, decks solid, tank replaced 2-3 years ago. I think I did alright.

Just bought a 2009 2320sl 200hp Yamaha 4 stroke 740hrs. New garmin 7610svx unit. Boat is above average condition. And maintenance record provided for all engine services. 45k included seller replacing entire steering system (issues found during sea trial)

I am curious who you used to ship the boat? I am in the process of purchasing a 2015 2320 from Washington (actually just sent payment today!) and working with a shipper but wouldn't mind having other options in case this one doesn't come through. I know I will need a lowboy trailer since we are putting the boat and trailer on a lowboy trailer. But your $4k from Maryland sounds like a deal. And of course, would you recommend.

Bought a new 2520 Mod V(14 degree) Pilothouse in 2000 for 41K before rigging. I bought a 2004 2520XL Pilothouse for 60K in 2005. Dealer only wanted to give me 28K trade in on XL but agreed to let me find a buyer at my agreed selling price (36K). I brought my seller to dealer, signed the boat over to the dealer, seller bought old boat from dealer for 36K and I got my 36K trade in price on the XL. I only had to pay tax on 28K instead of 60K. Bought a leftover 2017 23SE in 2018 w/I4 F200 Yamaha & T-top for 60K. At 73yrs old the SE will probably be my last salt water boat.

Bought an '03 2520 DVSC w/twin150HPDI from Florida in April 2018 for $32k. Had it shipped out to San Diego for another $2500. Have since re-powered with 2021 twin 200 Suzuki's, added 65gal west coast Bluewater bait tank, mini tower, Garmin 18HD radar, 7610xsv. Done some major re-working of the trailer as well(new brakes, axels, support welds, side bunks).

I’m the lucky guy in Capt. Nick’s narrative above that bought his carefully cared-for 2000 ModV in 2004 for $36k. Eleven years later In 2015 I spent an additional $30k for new 300 hp power, controls, new fuel tank, deck, hydraulic steering, seat, steering wheel, and scupper tubes.

Why did I extensively refit a 15-year old Parker instead of trading up to a newer Model? Because IMHO there simply isn’t a better boat made for diving in this size class. The 14 degree deadrise of my 2520MV which is the bane of other ClassicParker owners of this model who chase Tuna offshore makes this particular hull the most stable diving platform Parker has ever produced.

While at anchor we can have a crew of fully-clad divers waltzing around in the spacious cockpit without pitching the rest of the crew overboard. My older “Classic” MV model also has a lower freeboard than newer models, which puts divers closer to the water upon entry, and makes lifting gear and catch onboard easier as well.

The hull is quick to a plane and is fuel-efficient with a single. All the features that made Linwood’s original design a solid working platform for commercial fishing suits divers just fine. So this is truly my last boat; one that has been a proven performer for us, a trusted member of our family for many years, and worthy of fitting up for the next 20 years. Thanks Capt. Nick!

I'm thrilled you're still enjoying my first Parker and have updated her. I went back to a center console 23SE and she's a great LIS fishing boat. I wish you and your family many more happy years with your Parker!

2015 bought a 99 1800 for 8k did a few upgrades on it

2017 bought a 2004 2120 with 88 hours on it for 12k came with trailer chased fuel issues for 1/2 season.

2020 got a 2008 1801 for 16k. Right about 500hrs on it. Just had the trailer gone through before towing nc-ny.

Soon to be hunting a 23dvcc

Bought my 1994 1800 six years ago…I knew the boat was well maintained … garage kept.. gentlemen I bought from lives down the street from me… so I saw him after every use cleaning and maintaining boat. Re powered and numerous custom upgrades. Love this boat and probably won’t sell it even though I am looking into a custom 23’ Stuart Boat Works. I’ll be a two boat owner. I don’t think I’ll let my 1800 go. But if I do it won’t be for awhile.

2nd Parker 2019 2320 f300 120hrs with trailer go9 unit second station behind house from Mississippi. Purchased March 2021 90k shipped for 3200 to SD. Added 65 gallon bait tank tower Simrad evo 3s 12” AP 5100 sounder b175 hw 175l radar. Also adding Sionyx Nightwave.

Just bought our 2013 2320 with trailer, radar, and gps. Paid 65k 336 hours on a Yamaha 250, with a 10 hp kicker motor. The boat is in great shape.
