Getting A new 25 this week. This boat is a little bigger and a lot heavier than what I have now. I keep what I have now on Cement blocks. Wondering if a couple of Jack stands would do the trick. Any body with Idea's?

we dont winterize down here but from what i hear blocks are not the preferred method so jack stands would be a better alternative.

I am going to keep mine in a driveway this year for the first time.
I will use concrete block like the marina has been doing (7 in each stern corner), five up front and I also bought two jack stands to go up forward to prevent any side to side movement up front. Plywood underneath the blocks and stands, I think it'll be fine.

FWIW... This is how my yard does it.
Wood blocks fore and aft under the keel, and jack stands at the corners.

there was another thread on here a little while ago that addressed this.

personally, i would NEVER count on jackstands to support the main weight of the boat. minimum for me is 2 blockpiles on the stern corners and one under the bow. then stabilize the sides additionally with jackstands. its just not worth it to me to risk an incident to save the hassle of storing a few blocks. seen too many horror stories. but its your decision, if youre comfortable with it, go for it.

Local custom in my neighborhood is the same as Kevin, two piers of blocks under the keel and jackstands in each corner. I use plywood pads under each jackstand foot to protect the pavement, and don't forget the chain joining each pair of jackstands keeping them from spreading apart.
