It has prob been said many times here but.

Just looking at some 23 dvcc that may be for sale and saw a new Parker 2400. Hull looked normal console looked like a sea hunt and WTF is with the transom. Like a cross between a euro transom and a splash well.

Was cruising my 1801 today and was just thinking about how nice, easy, and simple this boat is. Seems like they are getting away from the core customer.

Maybe they're trying to make it easier to work a fish around the engine? Or maybe it's where we will put the battery packs when we are all mandated to convert to electric outboards? ........... Seriously, the more they move away from the original design, the more significant the title of this forum becomes as we all strive to preserve the exceptionally distinctive look and quality of our "Classic" Parkers.

Cosmetic changes are inevitable, as consumer trends demand a shift from a utilitarian design to more fashionable looks, but some basic brand features and characteristics are timeless and should not be altered. That being said, the release of the new hybrid models only increases the value of the Classic Parkers still in the care of devoted owners.
