I have the square yamaha guages and I'm wondering what other owners see as s normal engine temp reading. My gauges have 5 positions and she run at position 3 or 4 when pushed hard. I understand the round yamaha guages have 6 position. Just trying to see what temp reading is normal. I have a 2510 mod v. 1991 with an 06 f250.

I have a 06 F225 with those gauges and my water temp runs pretty much in the middle until I run it at cruise speed above 4K RPM and then I does go up another bar or 2? I'll count the bars the next time I'm out(this weekend or next?) and let you know. These 4 strokes run on the cool side overall. I forget the exact thermostat temp. You need to change them out every so often. Check with you tech on that. Are you having any issues? Last year mine was not running as good as it did and I had lost some power and it turned out to be my port side thermostat stuck open. This made it run too cool not hot. This is a fairly common issue.

At Cruise my 300 Yamaha 4s 6cyl runs about 136 degrees I think I have seen it as high was 142 degrees, but up here our cooling water is really cool :)
