Cleaning up the rat's nest at the helm. Looking for photos/examples...

Weld Mount is tough to come by these days… it’s been a few months since I needed to restock, but unless things have changed supply is still tight.

Potential Purchase - 1991 Parker 2510 with Volvo AD41 engine

Unless you can scoop it up for less than 10k, and REALLY love working on project boats, I’d pass on this one and wait for a better hull. If the engine was “just rebuilt” and is already knocking, there’s probably some significant underlying issues with it. Shelling out more money to either...

    New purchase Parker 2520SLDEEP

I’d be worried about how those holes in the deck where the livewell was were patched. If not done properly, that could lead to deck rot that will eventually lead to needing a deck replacement, as well as allowing water to seep into the area surrounding the aluminum fuel tank. Also, if it...

    Storage

Don’t have any pictures of it, but I epoxied teak blocks with eye screws in them across the inside of the forward upper slanted “vee” part of the cabin roof, then ram bungee cords through the eyes. I can hold 6 Type I offshore life vests up there, secure and out of the way, readily accessible...

    Batteries and Bilge pump wiring

If the fuse tests out ok, check that fuse holder itself. The way that wire is bent suggests that it may have gotten pulled on at some point- you may have a broken wire or a dislodged connection inside the fuse holder.

What’s your question regarding the shore power? I may be able to help, although shore power is almost always an aftermarket installation and they differ significantly. If you describe the system or post some pictures of the different components, I may be able to shed some light on it for you.

Welcome! You’ve got one of the best boats Parker ever made… although I might be biased 😂

    2400CC

Very interesting! Thanks for the correction. I probably misinterpreted the “hull inner lining” point.

    2400CC

If I recall correctly, it’s a two piece with an extremely tight liner. Very little space between the two pieces. I could be remembering incorrectly though, but I recall being surprised when they told me that. It certainly doesn’t have the typical “look” of a two piece boat.

    2400CC

Built on the old Sea Ox hull molds. 👍 Unlike Parker, Pair figured out a way to make a two-piece boat that DOESN’T suck. Their fit and finish is significantly better as well. Plus, the 21DV has a full transom and a bracket. If I were in the market for a new CC, they’d be very near the top of...

    2400CC

It’s a new model, and there’s not a lot of people out there that have one. That said, if you’re looking at using it as an offshore boat, I think you might be disappointed with it. It certainly does not replace the absolute battle wagon that was the 2300 DVCC before Parker got bought out and...

    Switch board question

They are covers (boots) over push-button circuit breakers. The breakers provide circuit protection for each individual circuit. Should you get a short or an overload, the breaker will trip; to reset it, you push in on the little black boot and you should hear it click back closed.

    help please

Another alternative, if you don’t want to add more hardware and ruin the “smooth” look of the bow, would be to install a pop-up light. I did this on my 1700 when I replaced the two small cleats up front with a larger centerline one, like yours. No issues at all with it hanging up on an anchor or...

New Shore Power and BEP Cluster

Sounds like you’re pretty much on the right track. -Take the opportunity to clean up your negative battery connections by installing a dedicated negative busbar, if you don’t already have one. That way you have one negative connection from the busbar to each battery, rather than a bunch of...

    Live well Bait tank

That plan should work just fine.
  16. pelagic2530

    Live well Bait tank

You’ll need two pumps- with the Rule dual port, only the top port is on the discharge side of the pump. Think of the lower port as a built in tee fitting- it just allows you to pull water for another pump from the suction side of the livewell pump, without having to install an additional tee...

    Towing an 1801

For a couple miles at low speed, you’ll be just fine. What’s the listed towing capacity of that Jeep?

Parts For Sale Parker tuna tower

Where’s it located? You seem to have boats for sale everywhere, with something like this geographic location is probably going to be a big factor.

    New/used 2501 owner!!!

Congratulations on the new boat! Some pictures (always appreciated anyway) will go a long way towards helping you out with your transom rod holder question, as Parker has used several different designs over the years.
