Re-painting entire top surface of Armstrong bracket?

I used AwlGrip in the color Oyster White and was very happy with the match

    2nd helm steering trouble

I would definitely think you'd need (want) a SeaStar powersteering pump with T-300's and 2 helms. While you're at it, incorporate SeaStar's autopilot pump to the powersteering pump.

Re-painting entire top surface of Armstrong bracket?

I re-painted the bracket on my 23 DVCC. As you note, the powder-coat has a tendency to flake off. I did not remove the motor and did not remove the bracket from the boat. I did sand with a 5" DA sander starting with 80 grit, then 120 and finally 220. I did not remove all the...

    Boat Brokers

In this recent market, I think that you'll be able to sell a new(er), well maintained, well known boat model with several dozen clean pictures without a sea trial or without a broker.

    Drain plug stuck, help

It will come out (the plug) with a larger wrench. Use a pipe wrench if necessary. I've never seen a situation where you need to remove the entire phalange due to a stuck drain plug.

2530 transome cut and add 4or 5 feet

What you are describing has been done many times on may different brands of boat, including Parker. Despite the intimidation-factor, it's not a hard job. The hardest part is making the first cut.

Is it ok to mount the heading sensor the cabin?

I see that you found a good spot for the electronic compass inside the cabin...... good to hear! Having experienced your same dilemma on several different boats, I've found that as long as you are 3ft away from magnets, metal (aluminum not included), LARGE electronics, speakers, amps and...

    Proper Cruising RPM's Please

I sent you a message. I recommend the Mercury ECO 18" for the absolute best performance. The Mercury Mirage or Yamaha SWS in 19" are both very close to the ECO in terms of performance/fuel economy at a much more reasonable purchase price over the ECO ...... I think the ECO is well over...

The Parker Lineup is Now Dead

I saw a picture of the new 22ft Parker which reportedly replaces the 21 and 23 ft hulls. The 22ft is a 2-piece hull with a drop-in liner. Seating in the rear as well as up front. Price tag is $150k. Looks like a SeaHunt. I have to be honest ..... I'm very disappointed to see the...

Can Raymarine Radar fit on a Furuno hole pattern mount?

Ok ..... Apelco was a "brand" acquired by Raytheon in 1959/1960. I think that last Apelco product I saw in a store was at least 30 years ago so you are really reach back a LONG ways and hold a grudge for a really long time. Raymarine does indeed offer incentives to retails. Just like...

Can Raymarine Radar fit on a Furuno hole pattern mount?

It's not unusual in the large, international, Fortune 500 companies to buy/sell parts of the parent. This happens every single day. FLIR did sell the Raymarine branch to Teledyne in January 2021. FLIR bought Raymarine in 2010 for $180m and did an excellent job putting $$ into...

How is my 2300DV sitting on the trailer?

The trailer isn't setup correctly for the Parker. First, the axles are too far back. Try to move the axles forward such that the front tire sits vertical with the middle/aft of the console. The rear tire should be slightly aft of the console. This will allow less weight on the tongue of...

Can Raymarine Radar fit on a Furuno hole pattern mount?

I'm not really addressing you Wart on this reply ..... but at the same time, I am. You can respond here if you want but I'm not looking for a fight. I'm simply trying to enlighten others. Wart has some very strong opinion. Some are based upon facts and experience. Others based upon...

    Getting bow down on 2300

When I owned a 2300, yes, I did install a Rev4 prop (I didn't like the performance). I then installed larger trim tabs. They were marginally effective in achieving the goal of flattening the planing attitude of the boat. I then installed a Permatrim. That was significantly effective...

New to me 2005 2300 DVCC

You have the 3.3l F250 with a 2:1 gear reduction. The Mercury Enertia ECO 18" works great with the 23 DVCC/F250 combination

Deck replacement - how to remove base of step-down console in 23 DVCC?

Sorry to see this Matt. Something is definitely afoul from the factory on this one ..... you are meticulous with your equipment.

    New to me: 98 2300DV

You need to weigh under 150lbs to fit into the console. Otherwise, cut a bigger access and install a bigger hatch on the port-side of he console to allow bigger bellies into the electrical connections.
