Almost a disaster... and a couple of anchor chain/splice??

There could have been some chaffing…. More likely ignorance and neglect! There is no evidence of any unusual wear above the splice.

    Captains Chair

If you want it to move and it won't; apply WD-40 If you don't want it to move and it does; apply duct tape The mechanism is fairly simple.....It's also easy to take the seat of the post to work on it. Richard

Could be a lot of boat for the money..... Could be a lot of extra money needed to make it a lot of boat. How many hours on the engine? Are you looking for a turnkey operation or are you willing to work on the boat..... cause my gut is telling me there are going to be a lot of hours spent...

Almost a disaster... and a couple of anchor chain/splice??

Karen and I went out of Cape Charles this afternoon for a bit of spade fishing. As usual, the wind and wave predictions were all off and there was a nice South wind at about 15 and building instead of the predicted 5 to 10. But, I’ve fished Plantation Light enough to know how in just about...

What is the true length of a 2520XL?

I've measured mine..... I forget what the overall lenght is.. but the 25 does not include the bracket and then the engine sticking out behind the bracket.. and it does not include the pulpit. Overall length is somewhere around 32..... I'll look to see if I wrote it down somewhere... Richard

New Boat Question Walkaround vs Pilothouse?

There are plenty of WA owners here...... gotta be careful though... some of us PH owners might try and get you into a PH. The beauty of it is there is something for everybody. While you are waiting for other responses: Where do you live... where will you do your boating.......what kind of...

    2520 DV with bow thruster..

I was actually being sarcastic.... I happen to like my bunk trailer and wouldn't have it any other way. (I load and unload by myself all the time) I'm sure the trailer is negotiable.... Come to think of it... wouldn't be surprised if they were asking 90. Richard

    2520 DV with bow thruster..

Oh the Humanity... all that and a roller trailer :D I'm guessing with the 2nd steering station and the F350 and those bow thrusters.... hummmm, I'm gonna guess 80 to 85K asking price. Those bow thrusters are like cheating though... takes all the skill and fun out of docking on a windy day.

trying to pick my next boat

When I'm running offshore I dream of a DV if only to get there faster All other times I'm very content with keeping my comfort to speed ratio high. I like the idea of one motor... everytime I change the oil or have the experts do maintenance ($$$$) Since your looking for opinions..... I take...

    Parker 2520 MV Prop?

When you say a 2007 MV do you mean the hull iwith 16 degrees? I always think of the MV as the older hulls with 14 degrees. I thought they didn't make an MV in 2007? Just trying to keep my hulls straight. Richard
