I have a 1990 2300 DV I am in the process of repowering. Currently powered with twin 1990 140 Evinrudes bolted to the transom. The plan is to close in the transom and add a bracket with a single 250. I am sure this has been covered previously but was unable to find the thread. Any suggestions or concerns that I should be aware of?

No conserns....I did a 23 Mako and hung twin DF140 Suzuki's on it.....The boat would have preformed better with a DF250. So I think your headed in the right direction. Just opt for a flotation chamber on the bracket of at least 30in wide.
