I am starting a refit of a 1999 2320 I picked up this past fall. The carpet is shedding like mad, and I hate the look (and that it's impossible to keep clean). I thought about just ripping it out and keeping the bare gelcoat, but I'm concerned about noise/vibration dampening that the carpet provided (more for the dog's comfort than my own). I want something that's easy to keep clean, and will give some noise/vibration reduction, I'm leaning towards throwing some Seadek on and seeing how I like it. Any suggestions?

I have a 94 2330 no headliner or monkey fur in the wheel house because it is uneven and some fur in the berth. I have no carpet on the floor. I use Dri Deck squares on the wheel house floor bc it consists of 2 large hinged hatches and need access to the bilge, the pump and remove standing water from the flat spot. Very easy to pull out and clean it and vacuum the floor

The fur in the berth is in good shape, cleaned with portable Bissell carpet cleaner, very little staining and any loose spots have been replied. We buy materials from Sailrite like fabrics, foam, supplies, hardware bc The Admiral can sew and upholstery very well. I was planning on buying her one the Sailrite walking foot sewing machine but she declined it bc she wasn’t doing jobs full time. Instead I bought a Singer for less than 200 dollars and it works great. It is not hard to sew when need arises. They sell monkey fur , too along with other places
