My 23 DV CC IMO did not need alot of improving.

I did get tired of the livewell lid allowing water to splash the back of my legs so I installed a gasket.

Replaced the bilge hatch with a 0 flex Beckson 1424.

Used some 3M spray glue and put down some gray anti-fatigue mat from Lowes on the floor of the electronics box. Mounted the electrics over that. Wallets and keys no longer rattled or slid around.

The shock support that keeps the electronics box door open will only last one season before it can no longer keep the door open. Replaced it with a SS spring hinge which keeps the door open without the bouncing and will last forever.

Make sure you check all your hose clamps. Don't over tighten the ones on the fuel line or you will eventually cut into the hose.

Amen to the new boats having the SS thru hulls! Such a simple thing that really doesn't cost much more.

Jim...

One way to cure that is to use AWAB hose clamps.

They are made differently than the cheaper worm clamps that you find at the local marine store and they will not cut into your hose because they have a smooth clamping surface.

I am slowly replacing all of my old worm drive clamps with AWABs.

Those are great clamps, but alot of guys initially will jump right in there on the OEM stuff and start cranking everything down. To quote Dale--Don't ask me how I know.

A bit of bow modification:

Windline anchor roller. Notfor storing anchor, just for bringing up line without chafing boat or rubrail.

Pair of nav lights to replace the single nav combo.

Single cleat.

Chocks for dock lines.

Real boats have single cleat and a pair of chocks at the bow. Who the hell decided otherwise, and when?

Hatch below deck on forward bulkhead for access.

All done at Tri-State.

There's a metal shop 200 feet away from this dealership. Paid $20 for the proprietor to cut me a few stainless steel backing plates.
