Delta pad or flat keel

I know this has been answered before but I can’t seem to find the discussion anywhere. Can someone opine on why my 2012/2013 Parker 2320 has this thin flat spot at the rear 3rd of the hull. I assume it’s a Delta pad but not sure. Is this for faster planning, more lift, or more stability or both?

Not sure but the 21 dv hulls are the same design.

That is for stern lift. I think it might help with stability in a beam sea too.

Coming from heavy gauge welded aluminum boats like NR I had not see this before. This is our first glass boat so seeing the precision of a hull shaped in a mold is impressive. I’ve only seen a delta pad on jet boats so was just curious about it’s specific function on this hull

As others have said (above me), it's a Delta pad and assists with stability, planing time, speed and fuel economy. I think a Delta pad is a standard feature in all Parkers from 21 - 28ft...... at least the 28 and 23 I previously owned had it ..... I forget if the 25 MV had it or not.
