From a 1989 issue "Carolina Adventure" Ensley's was/is a quality radio shop in Morehead City.
 
Makes todays marine electronics look like quite a bargain, especially when you figure that those are 1989 dollars. :shock:

I'm guessing there weren't a lot of components for those rigs made in the "People's Republic" back then.... 8)
 
Call me crazy, but that doesn't seem excessive to me at all....especially since that's the installed price.
 
I know fishermen who still swear by their Koden. That thing will put a compass on fire when you turn it on. For those who don't know, Kodens had a CRT=cathode ray tube=home TV picture tube. Can you say magnetic field?
