New owner of 1801, this is my first higher sided boat. I come from bass boats and skiffs. My problem is how is everyone loading their boats on the trailer with out getting wet in the winter? My local boat ramps have the truck tires just getting wet with the top of the trailer fender just getting wet. I can't get close enough to the side docks to step off. I am thinking some sort of steps down the front post with a grab bar . I do a have a swing away tongue trailer. I have always power loaded . Thanks for any help.

I sorta had that problem.... IE: I don't want any part of the truck getting wet. I scaled the tounge weight... Gave the numbers to my brother [mechanical engineer] Bought a new piece of 3in Square alum tubing and we reinforced it where the stress's would be greater. [ 1/4 x 3 x 18in ] alum flat top and bottom welded in and extended the tounge 2ft.

I also added this twin step to the trailer.
