It wouldn't suprise me if Jim was one of the first dealers to have these units. He sells a lot of marine safety equipment. :wink:

I heard some of the smaller unit may have a problem when low in the water, especially in ruff seas wearing a life jacket.

This is perfect, I was just trying to get a group buy together on another website and once again Dale is one step ahead.

Also remember, you 1st ORDER one at the $299 price ... then SEND the email to BOE and your price will be adjusted manually AFTER you order one.

Just an FYI I found that this unit does not float, and does not meet regulatory requirments of an EPIRB because it is a PLB.

Still looks like a good unit. I wonder if there is a teather point for a lanyard?

i've got an aging but functional epirb and decided to add one of these which i just ordered. if it doesn't float i'll hook it to a float like my ignition key or something like that........or a lanyard.

Hi Everybody, thank you for the orders. These units are scheduled to receive fcc approval and ship March 17th. They are actually in stock at Revere, just can't ship until then.

As far as the discount, please just order online at $299 then email us after you order at [email protected] to apply the discount. If we forget to apply the discount, just email us with a friendly reminder. This time of year is nuts, so we do our best to keep up! You will see the discount on a document from us called "invoice" that will be emailed, not on the document called "order". The invoice will be sent when the unit ships.

By the way, they do have an attachment point for a lanyard, and a floating neoprene case will be released in a month or so. This Group Buy ends March 24th.

I just wanted to bump this to remind everyone the group buy ends tomorrow, just ordered mine.

It appears they are on back order but BOE should have them by March 30.

Not that I'll be on the water by then anyway, great deal!!

Cheaper than SPOT in the long run.
