Lookin for some Pro input

it‘s time to add a trolling motor but I’m more than a little lost in the trolling motor jungle. I’m running a 2000 21SE with a yami 150hp.
I’ve been directed to a 50 lb thrust motor. Seems way under powered to spot lock in a 4 knot or more current. Lookin for advice on a motor incl brand, thrust, voltage (I’m thinkin 24 volt if needed), experienced durability thoughts And price. Thanks in advance gang!

Who told you THAT? Write that person off.

It's a 21ft boat.. You will be a LOT happier with a 36V and 101lb thrust. I'd steer you toward a Rodan.

Way Off. I don't know about the 112 but at least an 80.

I have a 24v 80lb TM on a 1700 and it will hold in about 2.5kts of current. No way that motor is going to do what you want. Step that up to a 36v 112lb model.
