The factory installed it with Clear Silicone.

Yep.......same on the 2006 2320. Roof handles and rod holders, all windows as well as the oval vent cabin windows sealed with silicone from the factory. With the roof being balsa cored I shed the silicone soon after buying.

I've had a spool of 1/2in 3 twist Nylon and 25ft of 1/4in chain spliced to it for a while. Well I kinda figured it would not fit in the anchor locker. There was 100ft of 3/8in in there. Gee...Where ya gonna anchor with that? In about 16ft of water.

So......Out comes the saw again. :)

Now I'm building a one off mold to make a fiberglass compartment that will bolt to the flange that is left around the edge.

mold almost complete. This is a one Off mold. The mold will be destroyed at the time that the part comes out.

Will get one more coat of primer. Ordered a new 16 X 13 Seafoam hatch w/ Stainless Slam latch for it. It will be bigger than the stock one Parker used.

Your skills and "go at it" attitude continue to amaze me!

Thank You. My son showed up this afternoon and we got the windshield washer bottle mounted and the bulkhead fittings installed above the front windows. The hoses, new arms and blades are all installed.

There is a LOT more to do to this boat before I say I'm thru with it, but Snapper season [as short as it is] starts June 1st.

It's got to be ready.

Windless is going on too.

My folks are renting a house on the beach again this year for 2 weeks during Snapper season. This brings the whole family down from afar. they want to fish.

Laminating the anchor locker panel. It's part way done, but I have to let it kick. There is a piece of 3/8in Coosa Board as a core also. Most of that will get cut out when the hatch opening gets made.

I'm Very pleased at the way this part came out. It fits like a glove. :) And that was the first trimming. In the last 2 pix's it's sagging down on the right hand side. But it doesn't even have any fasteners in it to hold it in place. You can also see where a broke the mold apart. It was always going to be sacrificial.

Very cool, you going to awlgrip it Parker color?

You should make a mold of that part and sell those, I'm sure Mod vee 25's are all very similar. might be a market for them.

Yes...I'll Awlgrip it Egg Shell White.

It has been sanded today, Primed with 2 coats of Awlgrip 545 and then heaviley primed with Awlgrip High Build primer. This will fill any pinholes.

So far...So good. They work and haven't fallen apart. LOL

They look a little funny, and people will / have asked......"What is that?"

Understand that they have been installed, but they haven't "really" been used yet.

Are they too bright?

I like the fact that they are basically a "drop in" replacement and look similar to the originals, but are the too bright because they are a nav light? Are the bulbs replaceable or is it a sealed unit?

Mine were basically dust on the inside, cheap Taiwan plastic didn't last.
