I would imagine the combination of the smaller twin engines lighter boat less deadrise and 2 stroke torque help get the boat up. Not to say thats still not impressive. I might try it again with my boat since i put bigger tabs on. My buddies 34 venture can do it with the ox 66 250 on the back. He opted for the big k plane tabs and whoevers in the boat has to go stand in the bow but eventually shell plane out.

Cool boat!

We saw a center console with twins (about 26', don't know the engine size) last year running on one engine (one up, one down). First saw him at the ramp. Figured he lost one engine and was loading it up. About an hour later we saw him about 15 miles off shore fishing. Still running on one engine. It was a little slow getting up but it got on plane without to much trouble. When we were loading our boat up at the end of the day, he comes in. Still running on one engine.

Brad - that video really brings home the diff. between fiberglass and aluminum! About 4.000 lbs!!! and some cool hard cash in the purchase price
