You are comparing a Parker with a steigercraft or a Maycraft?

That should take about 2 seconds. The Parker is heads over either one of the other two. The Parker is a true fishing boat. The best built for the price on the water today, in the 21 to 28 ft.range.

You might compare the steiger and the maycraft for a pleasure boat if that's what your lookin for. But for a fishing boat you can't beat a Parker
for the price and quality, whether new or used..

Uh oh....I detect a Parker Snob! :D

 He must have tripped on the step out of the pilot house and hit his head

 Now I don't care who you are, that's funny!

Rule #1 at ClassicParker...
No 'brand bashing'!
Everyone is welcome here, so long as they are civil.

I know you're joking around, but other folks don't know you jokers like I do... and they might get the wrong impression.

This isn't (cough) THT (cough).

I hear you Tom!
Sometimes I wish mine had a 315 Yanmar inboard. :D

When that new boat arrives, I hope you post photos here. 8)

Seems to be a common thread here that "cabin shoppers" looked at Stiegers and Maycrafts. I know we did so at the 2002 boat show and, when we saw the boats side-by-side, the appearance and apparent build quality of the Parker made it the hands-down choice. We've never regretted the decision to buy Parker.

Can we bash types of boats? Like Cats?

Or States... can we bash States? I never liked Connectic... wait nevermind.

Mark, I'll admit that the Steiger was what first got me interested in a pilothouse. The day I found the Parker I own now, the open-back pilothouse with the roll-up curtains really sealed the deal for me.

Since that time... the 9'6" beam of the Parker has really convinced me that the Parker has a huge advantage over the 8'6" beam boats. It's amazing what an extra 12" will give you when you're working in the 'pit.

Thank you, Thank you... (as I take a bow and head over to the Sea Ray boards where us May-craft and Steiger owners belong 8) )

Kevin,

By all means with the pictures.
The boat should be ready the first week in June. As I had said earlier the factory is only 5 miles from my office and I have already cleared it with the company that I can take all the manufacturing pics that I want.
Going to compile a full photo journal.

We all love boat porn.

Brian,
Let me know if you need anything answered on the Steigers or if you want me to see about an older brouchure.

Tom
