My 2001 150 HP Yamaha OB has a small fluid leak around the tilt shaft on the trim / tilt assembly. I have the manuual but I have a few questions. Can I use a automatic trans conditioning fluid or stop leak product to swell the o-rings slightly. Where can I find the special 4-prong wrench to remove the cylinder cap to replace the O-rings? I am short on cash (lost my job to India) so repair costs are an issue.. Any help will be appreciated

The spanner wrench is probably something you could buy locally from any well stocked marine supply store.

Probably a better option would be to call or email Andy at SIM. He probably stocks the spanners and can give you advice on a seal kit and fluid as well.

I second Kevin's comment about SIM. He helped this past spring with a trim cylinder piston leak. Right parts at a good price and the correct tool to do the job. He monitors on this board.
