HDPE is very hard to get any adhesive to stick to. You are more or less forced to make it a mechanical bond with the dovetails cut like Dale said. Google starboard adhesive and see what people say about gluing it...it's also HDPE.

My guess is it will be fine but far from a rocket ship, and fuel economy will not be anywhere near what a 4 stroke will be. Just make sure you prop it right. Will also make the boat much more difficult to sell later on, if that matters to you. This all coming from a Yam V4 2 stroke lover.

My friend was doing 30+ in the 6 mph zone in front of the harbor and cut across Horne point. He got off easy. At the ships they stopped and said "hello, how's the fishing" and left. The coasties have been a real nuisance too.

Very sure. I'm told they just got letters on the boat...and that's what the warning said at the top that they gave to my buddy. The stopped to talk to me out at the ships off TPL, and they were coming from the SOUTH. Watched them run past us a few minutes earlier. Weird.
